<p>Ran across Eric Lewis&#8217; music today on the TED Site&#8230;this dude is a beast.<span id="more-130"></span></p>
<p>A little background: Lewis was born in Camden County, New Jersey, graduated from Manhattan School of Music in 1995, and won the Thelonius Monk International Piano Competition a year later at the age of 23.  Since then he&#8217;s performed with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Cassandra Wilson, Clark Terry, Ornette Coleman, and has been a member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.  He&#8217;s now known for making crazy jazz arrangements of alternative rock songs.
