How will this change the DJs/Tastemakers you target? Better start looking for people with internet radio shows and friends who make playlists on sites like Pandora and MOG.

Today’s a slow one for news, but I have found some good articles online. Enjoy!

- Kate Bradley of Outlandos Music challenged Bob Lefsetz’ post The Death of Marketing, entitled Lefsetz is Wrong. She makes great points on the importance of having real fans. Worth the read.

- WMG finally cut a new deal with YouTube. Their WAY past due on this one… (via hypebot)

- Mashable published a helpful article on gathering feedback with social media. Really great info for anyone trying to figure out what their fans like.

Got a little time to kill during your lunch break? Why not read?

Mashable published an interesting post on Twitter habits, looking at things such as where we tweet (at work and in the bathroom were top answers) and how long people have been using Twitter. Check it out.

Hypebot posted an article about ringtone sales’ steady decline. Do you all think the bubble has burst?

Copyblogger did an article entitled “Holding Back Online? 5 Ways To Share Your Story with Confidence”. I think it’s a great article for musicians (or anyone, for that matter) having trouble writing with sincerity online.

Oh…and don’t forget to read today’s “How-To Tuesday” article. I go through the elements necessary to build a digital home base for your music.
