They say your blog should have an “introductory” first post. A post that tells readers what the blog is all about and sums everything up.
This is my third “introduction”.
My first attempt at online chronicling ended for the same reason it started. I wanted to document my Master’s Colloquy (thesis) and new life as a New Yorker, but the time it took to finish the thesis and get adjusted to New York life left no desire or energy to write about it; living it was enough.
My second attempt went sour as well. I’d just finished grad school and was looking for my place in the entertainment industry. Sounds interesting enough, but completing resumes, going to interviews, and making follow-up calls doesn’t make for good blogging.
So…here I am for the third go-around. I’ve settled in enough to get a routine going. More importantly, I have a lot to talk about. Even after being in New York for two years, I encounter something new on a daily basis. Music and the music industry are changing and I want in. Gospel music has enormous growth potential and is ready for a new movement. I’ll talk about all of these things and share experiences, sights, sounds, and thoughts from stuff I run across.
There ya have it…that’s the introduction. Let’s hope this one sticks.
